The Type 056A corvette (NATO: Jiangdao-class) is an advanced anti-submarine warfare (ASW) variant of China’s modular light frigate series. It is a compact, high-tech warship designed primarily for littoral (coastal) defense and securing China’s exclusive economic zone.
