Description
Tiger I (Panzerkampfwagen VI), the “extremely early variant” usually refers to the Initial Production or super-early Tiger H1s that were rushed to the Eastern Front in late 1942. The most famous of these is Tank “No. 100” (Chassis No. 250006) of the 502nd Heavy Tank Battalion
Tank No. 100 was among the first batch of Tigers sent to reinforce the siege of Leningrad in 1942. After experiencing severe mechanical breakdowns in the Russian mud and swamps, it was ultimately captured intact by Soviet forces in January 1943
