Description
By 1942, the platform proved unsuitable for harsh, cold Russian winters and obsolete against newer, heavier enemy tanks. Surviving chassis units were largely converted into command vehicles or artillery tractors.
The Panzer 35(t) was a Czechoslovak-designed light tank that Nazi Germany integrated into the Wehrmacht following the 1939 occupation of Bohemia-Moravia. The “t” stands for tschechisch (Czech). Seized in large numbers, it served as a vital early-war armored asset for the German military.
